European projects

Over the last ten years Howard has been involved in numerous trans-national and cross-border projects, successfully securing significant European funding to the advantage of ports and their wider transport and logistics links. Over the years he has been a member of many project teams awarded European grants particularly under the Interreg II, III and IV programmes. Seeports particularly supports projects with a strong emphasis on improved intra-European freight flows, whether by sea, road or rail.

As one example of trans-national working, Howard assisted in putting together a Memorandum of Understanding between specific ports in Morocco, Spain, France and the UK and signed the final agreement in Tangier. Seeports continues to maintain links with relevant organisations and experts in various European countries in order to provide true cross-border solutions.
